Football Starts Fast in Home Opening Win

AVE MARIA, Fla.- The Ave Maria University football team welcomed its home fans back to Gyrene Field in dominant fashion on Saturday night, rolling past the Florida Memorial University Lions 42-6 in the first ever meeting between the teams. The Gyrenes scored twice in the first five minutes of the contest, and never looked back en route to their first win of 2020.
