PHOTO GALLERYLEAVENWORTH, Kan. – It was only a matter of time. It took much adversity to battle through, as well as motivation for the University of Saint Mary football team to stay poised and find a way to snap a bad streak. Saturday night was the end of that drought as the Spires used nearly 300 yards of total offense, while forcing four turnovers to cap off a 55-7 victory over Friends University at Berkel Memorial Stadium. A victory that had not been seen in front of a home crowd since 2018, ending a 17 game losing run.Saint Mary now stands at 1-2 overall on the season.
