Football Rolls Past Luther 63-7 on Homecoming Behind Five Rushing Touchdowns

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College football team rolled to a 63-7 victory over Luther College on Homecoming Saturday at Clark Field. The Kohawks scored 16 points in the opening quarter to take command of the contest and stretched the advantage to 30 before the halftime break. Coe continued to push the lead after the half, scoring 23 points in the second period to roll to victory. The Kohawks threw for 283 yards on the afternoon and added 216 rushing yards while holding the Norse to just 211 total yards and ten first downs. The victory is Coe's second straight and moves the Kohawks to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the A-R-C while Luther falls to 0-8 overall and 0-6 in league play.
