Football Receiving Votes In AFCA Pre-Season Poll

DETROIT — The 2021 Wayne State University football squad received eight points in the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Division II Coaches' Top 25 Poll to tie for 49th.  The Warriors won seven of their final eight contests in 2019 to finish that year ranked 28th in the final AFCA regular-season coaches poll.  Ironically, WSU is tied with Pittsburg State, who was its opponent in the 2011 NCAA Division II National Championship game.
