Football Preview: Blue Devils return to Williams Stadium

November 2, 2019 was the last time UW-Stout was able to run out onto the turf of Don and Nona Williams Stadium in anticipation of a game. The Blue Devils will run out onto the field Saturday, Sept. 11 with a 1 p.m. start with St. Norbert College. Both teams are coming off wins, Stout a 42-14 winner over Presentation College and St. Norbert a 21-14 win over Loras College. Saturday's game is Community Day, Dorm Day and Youth Day. In honor of youth day, any kid is free to the game with one paid adult. The game will mark 20 years of football at Don and Nona Williams Stadium, which first opened in 2001. There will also be recognition of the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on America.
