[Football] No Homecoming in 2020

Tuesday, Aug. 11 Mid-South Conference announced football's Bluegrass Division, of which Georgetown College is a member, leaders voted to move fall competitions to spring 2021. This is aligning with the NAIA's Council of Presidents' July 31 decision to move the Football Championship Series to the spring.With this knowledge, the college has decided, in the best interest of students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, friends and the Georgetown community, for this year, there will be no Homecoming. None of these decisions have come without much conversation and great consideration, evaluating guidelines through CDC, federal, state and local officials. Although we may not be gathering this fall, we are hoping to host special events on campus in the spring that will coordinate with our athletics schedule.
