[Football] Marian Headlines MSFA Mideast First Team, William Named Co-Offensive Player of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS – The three MSFA Mideast League co-champions were well represented, with 24 First Team selections including all 13 on the offensive side of the ball, as the 2021 All-MSFA Mideast League team was announced by the Association on Monday.No. 7 Marian led the way with ten First Team honors, along with No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan's nine, and No. 8 Concordia's five selections. A pair of wide receivers shared Co-Offensive Player of the Year honors, in Indiana Wesleyan's Brayden Smith, and Marian's Johnny William. Smith led the Mideast with an average of 84.6 receiving yards per game and was second in TDs (nine), while William brought in 11 TD catches on the season to lead the league.Kole Murlin of Siena Heights was named Mideast League Defensive Player of the Year, and Indiana Wesleyan's Jordan Langs took Coach of the Year.
