Football Is Back! Elon Hits The Practice Field For Fall Camp

Elon, N.C. – The Elon University football team returned to the practice fields Friday, opening 2021 fall camp on campus. The Phoenix return 20 starters, including all 11 on offense, as Elon looks to build on a pair of appearances in the FCS playoffs over the past four years. Head Coach Tony Trisciani begins his third season at the helm and has pieces in place to rebound from a challenging spring season. Most notably, senior quarterback Davis Cheek returns atop the depth chart after missing the six-game spring season due to injury. His 5,624 career passing yards rank third in program history and is 10th among returning quarterbacks in the FCS.
