Football Gives Out Weekly Awards After Tusculum Win

HICKORY, N.C. – After Saturday's thrilling 38-31 home win over Tusculum, the Lenoir-Rhyne football team handed out its weekly awards today. Senior defensive tackle Amari Houston won the Ronnie Lott Heavy Hitter of the Week, and he also shared defensive player of the week honors with Donte Young. Houston had a career-high 11 tackles and a sack for a loss of 12 yards, finishing the game with 1.5 total tackles-for-loss. Houston was also named the SAC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
