Football Falls in Heartbreaking Fashion to Open Season

ROCKFORD, ILL. – The St. Scholastica football team opened up its season this afternoon, taking on the Regents from Rockford University (Ill.). The Saints jumped out to a 23-14 lead at halftime, and also reclaimed the lead late in the second half. However, Rockford was able to capture a game winning drive, highlighted by a two-point conversion, to defeat CSS in the season opener today by a score of 38-37.
