[Football] DeQuinn Watford named Offensive Coordinator

St. Ambrose head football coach Vince Fillipp has named DeQuinn Watford as the program's Offensive Coordinator. He will also coach the quarterbacks.A graduate of St. Ambrose, Watford returns after coaching the Fighting Bee inside wide receivers in the 2020-21 season."As an alum this is a dream of mine, to come back home with the task of putting Fighting Bee football back in the National conversation," Watford said. "Nothing about this opportunity will I take for granted. I'm looking forward to putting in the work to make all alumni of the University proud of their football team. Go Bees!"Watford was the last two-way starter for the Bees, playing cornerback and wide receiver from 2005-07. Along with his collegiate playing experience, Watford brings eight years of offensive coaching experience, with a total of four years handling play-calling duties.Raised in Tennessee, Watford earned his Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Studies from St. Ambrose. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Organizational Leadership.
