Five AB Football Players Named Battlers Of The Week

PHILIPPI, W.Va. — Last Wednesday Night during the Alderson Broaddus Women's Basketball game, the unexpected happened. When a fan went into what was determined to be diabetic shock, a few members of the Alderson Broaddus Football team stepped in to help. Without hesitation, Jabari Adams, Benji Cole, Garrion Corbin Jr., Enrico Weathington, and Duran Wilder stepped in to check on the gentleman. The players helped assist the gentleman to the back of the arena where Athletic Trainer Rachel Lamb among others stepped in and got the situation under control. The players stayed with the gentleman and his family until he was awake and they knew he was okay. We thank the heroic actions of our staff and student-athletes. For their contributions, the five football players aforementioned have been named our Battlers of the Week on Tuesday, February 8th.
