Final Road Trip Sends Mountain Hawks To Colgate Saturday

Lehigh takes to the road for the final time in 2023 as the Mountain Hawks visit Colgate Saturday at Andy Kerr Stadium in Hamilton, N.Y. The Mountain Hawks battled four-time defending champion Holy Cross to the wire, ultimately coming up on the short end of a 28-24 score. Sophomore Brayten Silbor and senior Eric Johnson connected on a pair of early touchdown passes as Lehigh took an early 14-0 lead. The Mountain Hawks won the turnover battle behind a season-best three takeaways, but Holy Cross scored 21 second quarter points and added the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter, while limiting Lehigh to just a field goal after halftime. Colgate moved to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the league after rallying from 17-0 down to upset No. 16 Lafayette 37-34 in overtime.
