Falcons Announce Starting Quarterback For Game vs. Vikings

By Chris Rosvoglou On Wednesday morning, Falcons head coach Arthur Smith named a quarterback for this weekend's showdown with the Vikings. Smith announced that Taylor Heinicke will be the Falcons' starting quarterback this Sunday. He'll replace Desmond Ridder, who has struggled mightily this season. During this Wednesday's news conference, Smith told reporters that he's not making a permanent change to the depth chart. Heinicke will start "just for this week."
