ESPN Computer Model Predicts Super Bowl Champion After Week 2

By Matt Hladik Week 2 of the NFL season is now over, and ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) has been updated accordingly. FPI is a predictive way of measuring team strength and projecting what will happen the rest of the season. Right now, the formula thinks one team is the clear-cut Super Bowl favorite. The Dallas Cowboys have a 21.1% chance of winning the big game, according to the FPI. That's nearly four percentage points more than the San Francisco 49ers, who have the second-best odds at 17.5%.
