Dallas Cowboys pick up Micah Parsons’ fifth-year option

The Dallas Cowboys are picking up the fifth-year option on the rookie contract of Micah Parsons, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. He will earn $21.3 million in 2025. Parsons is coming off a 2023 season where he arguably had the best season of his career. The 24-year-old linebacker registered 64 tackles, 18 tackles for loss and 14 sacks. His production in 2023 led to him being selected to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro Second Team. The Cowboys selected Parsons at No. 12 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
