Cross rushes for 100 yards, but Mustangs fall at Angelo State

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Angelo State's Gerald Gardner passed for 334 yards with a touchdown and the Rams scored 17 points in the second quarter on the way to a 27-12 win over Midwestern State in Lone Star Conference action Saturday night at LeGrand Stadium.

"This might have been the best game they've played offensively," MSU coach Bill Maskill said. "Any time you get a punt blocked in a game, it deflates your mentality. I thought we made too many mistakes on our part to help them excel like they did."
