CJ Nightingale departs as Wheaton's defensive coordinator for a head coaching position

Wheaton, Ill. – CJ Nightingale, defensive coordinator of the Wheaton Thunder football team since 2019, is departing Wheaton for a new role as a head coach. On Sunday, Belhaven University announced Nightingale as its eighth head football coach. He will take over a Belhaven program that is coming off its most successful season in program history, with a 9-1 record in 2023. The Blazers made their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Playoffs as championship of the USA South conference.
