Charleston Football Projected 3rd in MEC Preseason Poll

Charleston, W. Va – The Golden Eagles football squad received 74 votes in the Mountain East Conference Preseason Poll, placing 3rd behind Notre Dame (10) and Frostburg State (1). Charleston finished the 2022 campaign with a 6-5 (6-4 MEC) record under first-year head coach Quinn Sanders. Their season would be highlighted with a three-game winning streak midway through the year over UNC Pembroke, West Virginia Wesleyan, and Wheeling by a combined score of 136-40.
