Carr, Smith II Sweep USA South Rookie of the Week Awards

Brevard College football freshmen Eli Carr and Ernest Smith II swept the USA South Football Rookie of the Week awards following BC’s dominant 27-3 victory over Huntingdon College last Saturday at Ives-Lemel Family Field. 

Carr secured his second consecutive Offensive Rookie of the Week nod after a four-touchdown performance against the defending USA South champion Hawks. Smith II secured Defensive Rookie of the Week honors following a four-tackle performance that included a pair of stops on fourth down.
