Carey hired to assist defensive line

ABILENE – Darius Carey, a four-year starter at Quincy (Ill.) and coach at Bemidji (Minn.) State, recently was hired to be Abilene Christian football's assistant defensive line coach. Carey will work alongside second-year assistants Travis Britz (DTs) and Cody Scribner (DEs) to mentor 18 returning letter winners, including starters Garviea Freeny, William Morgan, Bryce Paup and Quent Titre.
