Cardinals Open Season with Dominant 42-6 Win Over Fort Lewis

LIBERTY, Mo. – The William Jewell football team opened the 2023 campaign on Saturday morning with a 42-6 victory over Fort Lewis College (Colo.) marking their first season opening win since 2019. This is also the first consecutive wins since 2015 after closing last year with a win over Quincy. The Cardinals scored early and often, forced three turnovers and were firing on all cylinders in their debut.
