Richmond, Va. – The essence of competitiveness is palpable to anyone who has graced the turf of a football field—it's woven into the very fabric of the game. Each contest can be broken down to a series of 180 or so distinctive battles with an opportunity to win or lose each one. With every snap of the ball, the theater of competition plays out until one side emerges triumphant. Among the position groups of the University of Richmond football team, none exemplifies the sport's competitive spirit quite like the defensive backs.
