Callis Tabbed with GLVC Player of the Week Honors

Indianapolis, Ind. – Following his outstanding performance against William Jewell on Saturday, Cooper Callis has been named the GLVC Offensive Player of the Week. In the team's 55-10 victory over the Cardinals, Callis completed 35 passes for 512 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. His 512 yards is a school record for a single game, the previous record held at 479 yards. He also ties his school record and ranks second in the GLVC with 6 touchdowns in the game. The last SBU player to win GLVC Offensive Player of the Week was back in 2017. However, Callis was named the GLVC Offensive Player of the Year following the shortened spring season. So far this year, Callis has completed 156-233 passes for 1942 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He leads the conference in every passing category.
