Blakemore Named MVFC Newcomer of the Year; Four Redbirds Selected To All-Newcomer Team

Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Year Mason Blakemore and Freshman of the Year Tye Niekamp highlight a quartet of Redbirds named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team on Tuesday, as the duo was joined by senior tight end Cam Grandy and junior linebacker Amir Abdullah on the squad that recognizes players who made immediate impacts in their first seasons at their schools.
