Alex Aitchison named D3football.com Preseason All-American

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe College football player Alex Aitchison garnered national attention ahead of the 2023 campaign, being named a preseason all-American by D3football.com on Tuesday afternoon. Aitchison is coming off an impressive junior season that saw him earn all-region honors after finishing top 10 in the NCAA in sacks and forced fumbles and top 25 in tackles for loss and fumbles recovered. Aitchison was also a first-team all-conference honoree in 2022 and is Coe's first preseason all-American since the 2011 campaign when Brad Boyle and Tyler Hemry were selected. He is one of seven American Rivers Conference players to be named to the preseason all-America team.
