2023 Utah State Football End of Season Notes Package

• Utah State finished the 2023 season with a 6-7 record and tied for sixth place in the Mountain West with a 4-4 league mark. Offensively, USU was led by graduate senior QB Cooper Legas, who was 138-of-213 (.648) passing for 1,815 yards (201.7 ypg) with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Junior RB Davon Booth led the team in rushing with 805 yards on 120 carries (6.7 ypc/67.1 ypg) with six touchdowns. And, junior WR Jalen Royals had 71 receptions for 1,080 yards (15.2 ypr/83.1 ypg) and 15 touchdowns. Defensively, graduate senior ILB MJ Tafisi Jr. led the team with 142 tackles, which included 7.5 tackles for loss, while sophomore S Ike Larsen had 103 tackles, which included 4.5 tackles for loss and a team-best four interceptions. As a team, USU averaged 33.2 points and 438.6 yards of total offense (254.2 passing, 184.4 rushing), and allowed 34.7 points and 433.1 yards (219.6 passing, 213.5 rushing).
