Utica Upsets River Hawks in Gritty First Round Struggle

SELINSGROVE, PA (November 19, 2022) – Making their first appearance in the NCAA DIII Football Championships since 2009, the Susquehanna University team had tons of momentum coming off their first ever Centennial Conference title and an undefeated regular season. They welcomed the Pioneers of Utica University to Selinsgrove for their first-round matchup, and the Empire 8 regular season runners-up brought their A-game, ultimately pulling off a 17-10 upset win over the River Hawks.
