Tarleton State Football rises to 2-spot in national rankings

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — After seven straight weeks at No. 3, Tarleton State Football rose to the No. 2 spot in both of the major national rankings announced on Monday. The Texans surpassed South Dakota State in both the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and AFCA FCS Coaches Poll. Tarleton State improved to 9-0, 5-0 in conference play, after rolling Eastern Kentucky on the road 31-7, while South Dakota State lost to No. 1 North Dakota State 38-7.
