Stephens, Dava, Cantrell named Phil Steele FCS Freshman All-Americans

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the success the Tennessee Tech football team had in 2019, there was no question whether the Golden Eagles were moving in the right direction.

The team got some vindication in that on Wednesday as the Golden Eagles garnered three selections on the Phil Steele Football Championship Subdivision Freshman All-America team as offensive lineman Trevor Stephens and defensive lineman Kail Dava earned third-team spots, while defensive lineman Christian Cantrell was a fourth-team pick.
