Statement From UC Athletics

It is often said that sports don't build character; they reveal it. Sport builds culture, promotes teamwork, and tenacity amongst its' participants. However, the most critical lesson that sport teaches us is to accept those who are different from us and to value them as our teammates. If we can mentor and show our student-athletes love and acceptance on the field or the court, we can all fight for the same in our community.
