Staal Announces Retirement as Faculty Athletics Representative, Baker Appointed FAR

LIBERTY, Mo. – William Jewell College Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) Dr. Rein Staal has announced his retirement from the position following the conclusion of the 2021 Great Lakes Valley Conference Spring Meetings last week. Concurrently, William Jewell President Dr. Elizabeth MacLeod Walls has announced that alumnus Dr. Blane Baker, the Wallace A. Hilton Chair of Physics, has been selected to replace Staal.
