Rice Selected as 2023 Cliff Harris Award Finalist

The selection committee for the 2023 Cliff Harris Award announced their 36 finalists for NCAA Division II on Saturday afternoon, with West Liberty University's Cam Rice among those making the final cut. He is one of three athletes from the Mountain East Conference in the running for the award recognizing the nation's top small college football defensive player of the year. For the first time in the awards history, they will name a winner from NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA after previously awarding only one honoree across the three divisions. The recipient of DII's winner will be announced December 28.
