Joc Pledger Secures USA South Football Defensive Rookie of the Week Award

Following a breakout game that included two interceptions, three pass breakups, and five tackles, freshman defensive back/running back Joc Pledger has been named the USA South Conference Football Defensive Rookie of the Week award for the ending on October 21. 

The nod marks the third conference award that BC Football has earned in the 2019 season. 

Pledger, a freshman from Monroe, Georgia, grabbed his first two career interceptions and broke up three passes in a 21-10 loss to USA South foe Huntingdon last week. Both of his interceptions came inside Brevard territory while his second was in the endzone at the end of the first half to prevent a score.
