HORNET SPOTLIGHT: JARED GILLIS – BASEBALL

Dover, Del. (Oct. 6, 2020) — Third baseman Jared Gillis (sr.; Middletown, Del.) has taken advantage of a NCAA ruling to grant an additional year of eligibility to 2020 spring sport seniors whose seasons were cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Gillis was a 2019 All-MEAC First Team selection after batting .307 (.381 vs. MEAC opponents) with a team-high 37 RBI. He also posted a career-high 12-game hit streak that season.
