[Football] Warriors Beat a Tough Briar Cliff Team

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Waldorf football team opened the season at Briar Cliff University for a non-conference game, winning 42-24. This win is the third in a row against the Chargers in the last 3 years.Jordan Cooper (New Caney, TX/New Caney HS), junior quarterback, completing 16 of 20 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. Junior running back, Taye Buchanan (Vernon, AL/Austin Peay State University), rushed for a total of 107 yards and received two touchdowns. Seth Oakes (Fort Worth, TX/Castleberry HS), senior wide receiver, had four receptions for 154 yards with two touchdowns. Nico Morasco (Azusa, CA/Northview HS), senior linebacker, led the defense with four solo tackles.
