[Football] The Skyhawks Take Down the Bulldogs

Barbouville, Ky. – Point scored 34 unanswered points in the second quarter and went on to a convincing 47-14 win against the winless Union Bulldogs. After a scoreless first quarter quarterback, Keenan Wise (SO/Atlanta, Ga.), started the onslaught with a 24 yard scamper into the end zone for the first Skyhawk score. Tyrique Robinson (SO/Decatur, Ga.) added a 1 yard touchdown of his own at the 8 minute mark to increase the lead to 14-0. Just 2 minutes later, Emery Bryant (FR/Birmingham, Al.) caught a pass for 86 yards to make the score 21-0. Bryant scored again with 3:10 left on the clock in the first half on a 24 yard pass from Wise. With this score the Skyhawks stretched the lead 28-0. The Skyhawks were not done however as Bashon Morris (FR/Augusta, Ga.) caught a pass for 38 yards to end the half at 34-0. 12 minutes into the second half, the Bulldogs put the first points on the board for the home team to bring the score to 34-7. The Skyhawks answered right back as Robinson carried in his second touchdown of the game for 2 yards, to make the score 40-7. With 11 seconds on the third quarter clock, Union completed a 44 yard touchdown to add another 7 points to make the score, 40-14. In the final quarter, Barry Finley (FR/Birmingham, Al.) intercepted a pass from the Bulldogs at 11 minutes left on the clock and ran it back for 53 yards to complete the scoring for the game, 47-14.
