[Football] The Skyhawks Fall to the Eagles at Home

West Point, Ga. – The weather was a considerable factor as the Skyhawk's hosted their in-state rival #20 ranked Reinhardt Eagles from Canton, Ga. in a Mid-South Conference Appalachian Division contest. Point and Reinhardt battled under the lights on the rain soak turf the entire game, as Point lost its first divisional game of the year. Reinhardt got on the board early with a touchdown with 8 minutes left on the first quarter clock to make the score 7-0. From this point until midway through the fourth quarter the two teams battled the rain and wet field conditions in scoreless fashion. The visitors finally crossed the goal line again with 7:59 left in the game to increase their lead to 13-0. Reinhardt added one last score with two minutes left to make the final score 19-0. Point was hurt by fumbles (4) and ill-timed penalties (9 for 82 yards) that kept them off the scoreboard for the second time this season.
