[Football] Dordt Shuts Out Football in Crete

Doane Football was taken down by Dordt on Saturday, 61-0, at Papik Field. The Tigers' 104-game streak of scoring in a game was snapped in the process as the Defenders posted 629 yards of total offense to Doane's 129.The Defenders used the ground game to set-up timely passes. Dordt rushed for 420 yards and threw for 209. Doane finished with 100 rushing yards and 29 passing yards. Noah Clayberg, quarterback for Dordt, ran for 144 yards and four touchdowns while throwing for 193 yards and one score. Dordt had eight rushing touchdowns in the game.Jamaine Derogene (JR/Dunedin, Florida) rushed for 36 yards to lead Doane while Jacobi White (JR/Grapevine, Texas) added 26 yards on the ground. Drake Davidson (JR/Moberly, Mo.) completed five passes for 24 yards. Brandon Gannon (SR/Grand Island, Neb.) had two receptions.Brody Azbill (SR/Phoenix, Ariz.) led the Doane defense with 13 tackles and Garrett Fries (SR/Indianola, Neb.) finished with 12. Doane recorded four tackles for loss and one sack. Dante Wiggins (FR/Colorago Springs, Colo.) had an interception for the Tigers as Doane lost the turnover battle, finishing minus-four for the game.The Tigers return to action next Saturday with a trip to Orange City, Iowa, to take on No. 6 Northwestern.
