Chiefs Reportedly Signing Veteran Starting Offensive Lineman

By Mitchell Forde The Kansas City Chiefs continue to invest in protecting star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The defending Super Bowl champs are reportedly signing former Tampa Bay Buccaneers starting tackle Donovan Smith to a one-year deal, according to NFL reporter Ari Meirov. The terms of the deal have not yet been reported. Smith, a former second-round draft pick in 2015, has started all 124 games in which he's appeared over the past eight years, primarily at left tackle.
