Athletes Recognized at Red Carpet Awards

GOODWELL, Okla – The second-annual Red Carpet Awards were held on Monday, May 3rd, in the Anchor D. Arena and hosted by Derek Barton, the "voice" of the Aggies. Each year this event is planned and executed by members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) to celebrate the achievements of individual student-athletes and entire programs. Student-athletes, coaches and administrators were in attendance to enjoyed refreshments and dessert. A photoshoot was held on the red carpet during the social hour leading up to the awards show, in which each program celebrated together. Following the welcoming to the awards night, guest speakers, OPSU President Dr. Tim Faltyn and Provost Dr. Julie Dinger, shared some touching moments of commemoration, love, and support for our Aggie family. The Year in Review of the Aggies showcased each Aggie sports team throughout the year and their many successes, and this was easily the highlight of the night!
