Default John Fricke "Fricke-on-Fox" - Bio & resume

I will make this quick. Just per the request of a couple on here. (I host a lot of infomercials on the Golf Channel right now too... AJ, Bogeyman, Golf Shop Live)

Fox Sports Radio host for the past 3 years.

CNN Sports anchor 1980-1989 (it was me and Dan Patrick, Keith Olbermann, Fred Hickman, Nick Charles, etc - etc...)

Main tv anchor for a few outlets... Fox Sports Net, SNN, NewSport, ABC in San Diego, NBC in Chattanooga.

Radio show host.. morning guy at XTRA 690 with Sean Salisbury.. did ESPN radio in Los Angeles and Denver.

PBP guy for UT-Chattanooga, Wake Forest, San Diego State (pre-game for USC for a year)

College football anchor for every outlet... came up with the concept of making polls "Top-25" and not "Top-20".. founded and ran what is now the Coaches Poll... Handed out on live tv the first ever 'national title' trophy awarded to a college fb champion immediately after they won the game (Notre Dame 1990 Fiesta Bowl)...

and on and on...

31st year in the biz... became an anchor at CNN at age 21. And the first time I ever anchored a sports show on tv was at CNN... that was my debut on air..yikes..

there's more but i won't bore anyone.. this is boring enough I am sure.

That's a pretty nice resume you have there. Being raised in Omaha I imagine you are a big huskers fan. My dad played for them 71-74 and my grandfater was the Athletic Business Director for the school i believe 15 - 20 years. Again, thank you for the hello and look forward to having some good sports debates. Thank you

John ....I've listened to you for quite awhile .... and I think that you said that you grew up in Omaha ..but you say that Atlanta were your high school days.

What was your path in your youth ?
