Default NFL Draft 2010

I hope it's not too soon to talk NFL Draft...but I just can't help myself. As a Lions fan, this is our Super Bowl every year.

Who do you want your favorite team to pick in the first round?

For me...Detroit Lions - DT Gerald McCoy - Oklahoma

Well since my Bears do not have a 1st round pick, because of Jay Cutler

I hope Sean Lee ILB Penn State falls to us at the 54th pick in the 2nd round with Urlacher having injury issues, this could help on the depth chart, to keep from moving Hillenmeyer out of his comfort zone

San Fransisco has Carolina's first round pick.
Denver has Chicago's first round pick.
Seattle has Denver's first round pick.

I hope Dallas either takes a defensive player (any), or trades away their first pick for multiple later picks.

And it's not that Dallas doesn't need help--they most certainly do. It's just that I feel like the kind of help Dallas needs can come mostly from later rounds. Unless Dallas somehow gets their hands on a top 10 pick (and Romo is trying to get them in that position) so they can take a super D-Lineman or possibly a guy to be their true number one WR, I really think they're best off with multiple second, third, fourth round picks, etc.

Or maybe Dallas could draft a new coach who might understand that Tony Romo is not the strength of this Dallas offense, but the run game is...so let's run the ball until they stop us, instead of this current strategy where they pass the ball about 60% of the time.

Well now you have Gaines Adams instead of that 2nd rounder. The Bucs are crazy if they don't go defense in the first round. I would prefer Mr. Suh from Nebraska or Eric Berry. I also wouldn't mind Gerald McCoy or Taylor Mays. As for those second rounders, the Bucs should continue to go with defense. Perhaps George Selvie from USF, Everson Griffen of USC, or Trevard Lindley from Kentucky fall to those picks. The draft is one of the few things I have to look forward to with the Bucs now. The other being Josh Johnson helping my fantasy team out. But it should be fun watching the Bucs with an early pick in the new prime time slot with the draft this year.

Security in this office park is a joke. Last year I came to work with my spud-gun in a duffle bag. I sat at my desk all day with a rifle that shoots potatoes at 60 pounds per square inch. Can you imagine if I was deranged?-Dwight Schrute

Who's going to get the top pick? WOuld Oakland really take another QB and will they have to?

I like Tebow more than the scouts do. I just think he's a winner.

That's the Vince Young argument...

The top spot in the draft this year is pretty much a lock for Ndamukong Suh.

DT or DE, either 4-3 or 3-4 defense.

Coached by the the two defense minded Pelini brothers to use his leverage and hands.

Can't think of team that wouldn't want this guy.

Not sure yet what the Titans need from the draft.

Oh there I so many questions about Tampa I have no idea. I first read that the Bucs contacted Cowher during the season, then kinda gave a vote of confidence to Raheem on Monday, and then I just read a report saying they are still interested in Cowher. Hopefully if Cowher is hired, he gets a little more leverage in FA spending considering the Bucs have been dead last in player salaries the last couple of years. If Cowher comes, then we are switching to a 3-4 defense which would change our draft needs.

- Gerald McCoy gets taken out of the running since he is a shoot-the-gap penetrator for a tampa 2 defense.

- Suh could fit into any defense, but won't come to Tampa barring a trade-up to 1 overall

- Eric Berry becomes a popular pick because when Cowher was in Pittsburgh, he had Polamalu. As seen with Pittsburgh this year, an all-world safety could make all of the difference. At this point, putting anybody back there would be an upgrade over Sabby Piscatelli. Eric Berry with the 3rd overall or Chad Jones from LSU in the second or third round and I would be happy.

- If Donald Penn leaves via FA, then we would have to look at Russell Okung to help protect the QB.

We need WR's, DT, DE, LB, Safety, and a CB to replace Rhonde(wouldn't mind Patrick Peterson in next years draft )
